Entering the dynamic development climate of Chicago’s West Loop, Engage  Civil joins the project team designing a $7M remodel and expansion of the thriving Soul City Church on Chicago’s near west side. Design team lead, Context Workshop, is ushering a team seasoned in Chicago design requirements through an organized and focused effort to materialize the vision of Soul City onto a site which includes a newly acquired 25,000 sq. ft. plot of land adjoining the existing building.

Engage Civil served the project team as lead civil consultant and Civil Engineer of Record for this site which is regulated by the City of Chicago’s stringent Stormwater Management Ordinance.  The efficiently designed site features a permeable pavement driveway, underground detention, and  sidewalk R.O.W. improvements, compiled in a civil package of 13 elegant drawings and 10 tailored specification sections primed for clarity and cost-control during bid and construction.
